This time they are leaving the traditional numbering behind and rebranding it as Genesis to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Kamen Rider, removing most of the old game's assets, and the first leap to the PS4 platform. It was released in 2013 with a sequel Battride War 2 released in 2014 and a Skylanders-ish spin off SummonRide on 2015, with more contents and varied level of success(Battride War 2 was only mildly successful whereas SummonRide is awarded Kusoge 2015) due to poor content addition and lots of problems in game structure(and in SummonRide's case, extreme greediness for quick cash).Īfter 1 year of no Battride War, and a scare of no more Kamen Rider games due to SummonRide's embarrassing rep in Japan, finally at the end of 2015 it was announced that a 3rd game: Battride War Genesis will be out on 2016, just around the time the PS3 is on it's last legs. ![]() The first game is also the first Kamen Rider game title that is released for the PS3. It is the the second Bandai Namco licensed Musoulike game title that is not developed by Koei Tecmo, and is the only one so far that is popular enough to warrant 2 sequels and 1 spin off(their first Non-KT musoulike is Saint Seiya Senki and that was discontinued in favor of a traditional Bamco fighting game titles afterwards)Īs the title suggests, the game has 2 components:waging war, and riding bikes, using Kamen Riders, which sets it apart for other Musou titles be it KT or other company releases, it's basically the first Musoulike game to be set in the modern-day "real world", with locations taken from actual landscapes where they shoot the TV series in, and is the first Musou-Like that is adapted from a live action show Kamen Rider Battride War is a Musoulike Game that is made by Eighting and published by Bandai Namco, it originates from the Climax Heroes franchise, which is a series of fighting games based on TOEI's hit Tokusatsu TV show Kamen Rider, it's origin being a fighting game kinda placed it in a similar position as the Dynasty Warriors series, tho the difference being there is quite a lot of Climax Heroes titles before they decided to change the genre into a Musoulike and rename it as Battride War ![]()
